Both programs allow participants to develop their language skills through living with local families and experiencing rural village life as well as city living.
He is also the co-director of IndoAustay Ltd., a non-profit company set up by the Australian Indonesian Association of Victoria for organising the exchange program to Indonesia for Australian students completing Year 10 and Year 11 secondary schooling.
He was an active committee member of the Victorian Indonesian Language Teachers Association (VILTA) where he used to be the coordinator of their Why Learn Indonesian? forum. At the end of each year he spends an extended period in Jogjakarta coordinating the successful Jogjakarta Immersion Program (also under the auspicious of IndoAustay) and developing his associations both professionally and within the community.
